Composition of plastic products
Plastic products are the general term for household and industrial products processed with plastic as the main raw material, including all plastic injection, blister and other process products that use plastic as raw material. Plastic is a plastic synthetic polymer material.
Together with synthetic rubber and synthetic fibers, it constitutes the three indispensable synthetic materials in daily life. Specifically, plastics are made of natural or synthetic resin as the main component, and various additives are added. It can be used under certain conditions of temperature and pressure. A material that is molded into a certain shape and remains unchanged at room temperature.
Some plastic products are pure resins, such as polyethylene, polystyrene, etc., which are called single-component plastics. In addition to synthetic resins, some plastics also contain other auxiliary materials, such as plasticizers, stabilizers, colorants, and various fillers. And so on, called multi-component plastics.
(1) Synthetic resin
Synthetic resin refers to the use of coal, calcium carbide, petroleum, natural gas and some agricultural and sideline products as the main raw materials, firstly prepare low-molecular compounds (monomers) with certain chemical properties, synthesis conditions, and then synthesize high-molecular compounds through chemical and physical methods. The properties of the compound are similar to those of natural resins (such as rosin, amber, shellac, etc.), but they are better than natural resins, such as synthetic resin dentures.
The content of synthetic resin accounts for 40%-100% of all the components of the plastic, which plays a role of adhesion. It determines the main properties of the plastic, such as mechanical strength, hardness, aging resistance, elasticity and chemical stability.
(2) Plastic additives
Plastic additives The main purpose of adding additives to plastics is to improve processing performance, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. The proportion of additives in plastic materials is very small, but they have a great impact on the quality of plastic products. Different types of plastics are formed due to molding Different processing methods and use conditions require different types and amounts of additives.
